Overseas travel has been off the cards for months and we've all been missing that cheeky jaunt to Bali or that month off in Europe.

While airplane food isn't high on the list of things people miss about going on a holiday, it's still a fundamental part that makes people talk.

Due to nearly all international planes being grounded, the company that usually caters for airlines in major Australian cities is offering a sweet deal to people who want to eat their unused food. Gate Gourmet is flogging loads of meals that span breakfast, lunch and dinner.

You can pick up a whopping 10 lunch and dinner meals for just $25. Even if it takes two of those meals to get you full, you can't argue with prices like that. The breakfast packs are a little bit cheaper at $20 for 10 meals. There's also a mixed option, which will set you back $40.

Sadly, they don't come with the little extras that you'd normally get on a plane like a yoghurt, bread roll or little dessert. But it's still a cheap meal.

The company is practically giving away these meals from their Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane headquarters.

It is a bit of a lucky dip when it comes to the meals, with some of them showing peas, some rice and meal, while others offer scrambled eggs mushrooms, potato and spinach.

Gate Gourmet said on their website: "Available...until stocks 'fly' out the door". So, time is ticking for you to say goodbye to meal prep and hello to cheap and easy meals.

Sure, you might not be gagging to slurp down some meals that would usually be served in Economy class, they'll go to waste otherwise.
