It's World Burger Day today (May 28) and that means you need absolutely no excuse whatsoever to throw back as many burgers as you can handle.

Even though your stomach might be willing, you wallet might be a little hesitant to splash out on the mouth-watering food.

However, Grill'd is here to help you celebrate World Burger Day in style.

The company is giving away 7,000 free burgers today. Yes - seven bloody thousand burgers across Australia.

Grill'd founder Simon Crowe said in a statement: "Even though we treat every day as National Burger Day, we wanted to mark this Friday as an occasion to celebrate our Grill'd supporters that make it all possible for us.

"We can't wait to show our appreciation to our local communities by surprising people with free burgers made with love that we hope will bring joy to our valued customers."

In order to access this amazing deal, you'll have to get out of your house and visit your local Grill'd (we know, it would be much more fun ordering it from home but we're just the messenger).

According to the company, the free burgers will come through 'random acts of kindness'.

A press release states: "Each store is tasked with giving back to their customers with random acts of kindness, surprising people with free burger gift vouchers and love notes to show their appreciation for their local communities."

There's no further information on whether you can get multiple freebies in a single day or what you have to do to get a voucher.

But the easiest way to find out is to get to a Grill'd restaurant and ask them for yourselves. You could be munching down on any of their delicious burgers for absolutely no cost whatsoever.
