As the country's latest coronavirus outbreak worsens, Aussies want to know where he is.

Scott Morrison addressed the nation earlier this week to explain the country's next steps to tackle the latest outbreak of the coronavirus.

Following a National Cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister said the AstraZeneca vaccine would be opened up to people under 40 for the first time and explained how some frontline workers will be forced to get either the Pfizer or the AZ jab.

However, the situation has since deteriorated, with Sydney's Bondi cluster increasing in size, parts of Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia now in lockdown and harsh criticisms have been lobbed at the Prime Minister over the national vaccine supply.

Despite all this, many are asking why Scott Morrison hasn't seen or heard from in days.

His last tweet was nearly a week ago, his last Instagram upload was five days ago and his last Facebook post was on Monday (June 28) when announcing the results of the National Cabinet meeting.

Questions about the Prime Minister's whereabouts, both online and in person, have reached to such a point that Harold Holt has been trending on Twitter.

The former Prime Minister disappeared without a trace on 17 December 1967 while still serving as the country's leader. He went for a swim at a notoriously dangerous beach in Victoria and never returned.

But Aussies have been making digs about how Scott Morrison has also disappeared while the country sinks into a growing and concerning coronavirus outbreak.

It's certainly not the first time the Prime Minister hasn't fronted the public during a crisis. He famously nipped off to Hawaii while parts of eastern Australia were on fire last year and he copped an absolute serve for it.

We're not suggesting Mr Morrison is on holiday or sunning himself somewhere fun again. But people are wondering why the Prime Minister isn't showing national leadership when the circumstances kind of demand it.

When the leader explained the changes to the AstraZeneca vaccine earlier this week, thousands of younger Aussies booked their appointment to get their first jab.

However in the days since, Queensland's Premier and Chief Health Officer slammed the decision and claimed that course of action hadn't been agreed to during the National Cabinet meeting.

Annastacia Palaszczuk told Queenslanders under 40 not to get the AZ jab, which was in direct contravention of the Prime Minister's ruling. You'd think a serve like that would warrant a reply from the country's leader to set the record straight and clear up the confusion.

But all we've had is crickets.
