A social media influencer has deleted her Instagram account after she posted photos of her at her dad's funeral.

Jayne Rivera posed for the camera next to her father's open casket and added a caption that said: "Butterfly fly away. Rip Papi you were my best friend. A life well lived."

The Daily Mail adds that she included the hashtag #dadless in her post as well.

The series of eight pictures showed her smiling, looking smoulderingly over one shoulder and another with her hands clasped together in prayer.

While she thought it was a touching tribute to the patriarch of her family, many of her followers called it 'vile' and 'disgusting' that she would turn a funeral into a photo session.

One person wrote: "Not cool Jayne, ur dad was a decorated vet, a photo shot by his casket should be beneath you. May he rest in eternal peace."

Another added: "S**t is just vile, and down right disgusting.

A third said: "The fact that u would post something like this tells us everything we need to know about you."

Loads of her followers told her to delete the picture and apologise for the careless post, however the Florida influencer went a step further.

She's since shut down her whole account as she goes into damage control following the PR nightmare.

Jayne had built an impressive 84,000 followers on Instagram and more than 300,000 followers on TikTok through posting about fashion, travel and also posing in swimwear.

The influencer hasn't made any public statement on any of her accounts about the fallout, nor has she issued an apology.
