Nat's What I Reckon has seen us through some tough times in lockdown with his hilarious viral YouTube cooking show - we'll never cook bolognese without milk again!

And now the Sydney comedian is bringing out a book combining his legendary recipes and unique words of wisdom, Un-Cook Yourself: A Ratbag's Rules For Life.

'Un-Cook Yourself: A Ratbag's Rules For Life' is out on December 1.

So what's in the book, you ask?

"It's got recipes, it's got comics, it's got reviews of chicks in hot tubs [it doesn't]. It's like an unhelpful self help book, really," says Nat in the promo vid. "It's just a good time in a book."

The blurb from Penguin is just as matter of fact.

"Learn how to be a better d*ckhead with Nat's deep and meaningful guide to life," says Penguin's description of the book.

"Nat's What I Reckon was the tattooed lockdown saviour we didn't know we needed, rescuing us from packet food, jar sauce and total boredom with his hilarious viral recipe videos that got us cooking at home like champions again," it continues, "And he's ready to teach us more about life in this thoroughly unhelpful (but maybe actually kinda helpful?) self-help guide".

Everything we expect from the straight-talking tattooed metalhead, who's been on the comedy circuit for a decade, and is also a mental health advocate.

Speaking to ABC.net.au in July, Nat said: "There are so many of us, if not every one of us, that are touched by mental health distress."

He was an ambassador for UNSW's Big Anxiety festival in 2019 and still receives a stream of emails from people who reach out about their own struggles.

And while Nat says he isn't a professional, he does advocate finding someone you trust to talk to.

No word yet on whether his End of Days Bolognese or Chilli Con Can't Go Outside recipes have made the cut.

The book is out on December 1, and available for pre-order now, champions.
