Kanye West's shoe collaboration with Adidas has been one of the most successful and profitable in the industry.

Any time a new set of Yeezys hit the market, it causes an almighty fuss, with people lining up around the block or online and spending hundreds or thousands of dollars to get their hands on a pair.

At the weekend, the rapper unveiled some new designs that haven't been released yet and they have certainly caused a mixed reaction on social media.

Yeezys have always been called 'ahead of their time' but these new shoes are truly out of this world.

Kanye showed off what he called the YZY D Rose, which he said would be 'coming soon'. It's been compared on Twitter to everything from spaghetti to calamari, a vibrator to a fish skeleton, sliced potatoes to a Glade scented plug-in adapter.

One person on social media even went as far as saying the shoes looked like 'when I press my gum to the roof of my mouth and then peel it off to look at all the indentations'. That's an incredible specific and niche reference.

The 43-year-old uploaded a picture of another Yeezy design, however this post was accompanied by just an emoji of a dove. People have called it Pacman Ghosts in a shoe or 'something out of a party city costume'.

Another shoe, which Kanye dubbed as 'TURRELLIENS', was also uploaded to Twitter. Arguably, these were the most normal looking shoe, however people still said they looked a little off.

Yeezy designs have been mocked in the past, however it hasn't stopped fans all over the world flocking to virtual and physical marketplaces to buy them.

The collaboration between Ye and Adidas has been going since 2013, with the first pair of sneakers, called Adidas Yeezy Boost 750 'Light Brown' selling out in 10 minutes.

It's unclear when or if these latest creations will be available to the masses or whether they'll be confined to Kanye's nearest and dearest as a fun project.

While some people might think the shoes look ridiculous and bizarre, there will be no shortage of fans who would happily add them to their collection.
