KFC has followed through on its concept to deliver a gaming console that also warms your chicken.

To show you that 2020 isn't done with being absolutely and undeniably weird, the KFConsole is the real deal.

It's able to run games at 4K resolution, 240 frames per second, as well as house your chicken in a dedicated 'Chicken Chamber'.

The Kentucky Fried Chicken masters have collaborated with Cooler Master, a hardware manufacturer specialising in CPU coolers and cooling pads, as well as Intel, Asus, and Seagate to create this incredible machine.

The unique cooling system actually circumvents heat and airflow towards the chamber, while ensuring that the rest of the console stays cool.

Global PR and influencer manager for Cooler Master, Stephen James said: "The KFConsole has been custom built with the gamer at the front of mind. The last thing we want is anyone to go hungry while playing!"

Mark Cheevers, PR & Social Media Lead at KFC UK & Ireland added: "Moving forward from our initial teaser campaign earlier this year, we're so pleased to finally give the fans exactly what they wanted; making the KFConsole a reality.

"We all know the console war is vicious, but we're very confident in the KFConsole as our flagship entry. This machine is capable of running games at top-level specs, all on top of keeping your meal warm for you to enjoy during your gaming experience... what's not to like?

"If Sony or Microsoft want any tips on how to engineer a chicken chamber for their efforts next time, they'd be welcome to get in touch."

The KFConsole runs on an Intel Nuc 9 extreme compute element, letting the machine focus on delivering buttery smooth performances, which isn't at the expense of the available space.

It has two Seagate BarraCuda 1TB SSDs at its disposal, so it has much, much more storage space than either the Xbox Series X or the PlayStation 5.

Additionally, it boasts an Asus GPU on launch, but this is swappable for whichever GPU you like. Ergo, 'the KFC console will stay the most powerful console for generations to come'.

KFC had dipped its toes into the gaming sphere before, with the dating simulator I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Licking Good Dating Simulator and Rainbow Six Siege tournaments sponsored by the fast food chain.
