If it's particularly cold in the morning, there's nothing worse than having to stand next to the kettle and wait for it to boil.

Well, Kmart's 1.7L Smart Variable Temperature Kettle can be controlled by an app on your bloody phone. It connects to your device via Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa and you can also select what temperature you want your water to be.

That's right, you don't have to only choose between 'straight out of the tap' and 'I can't feel my tongue and top of my mouth anymore' temperatures.

This smart kettle allows you to opt for Keep Warm, 80°C, 85°C, 90°C, 95°C and 100°C degrees. They also have information on what temperature you should select depending on what you're brewing. Whether it's a coffee, green tea, black tea or whatever, you'll be covered.

"Brew a quality cuppa of your favourite hot beverage in no time using this digital power-based smart kettle," Kmart writes on its website.

It's currently retailing for $65, which sounds steep for a machine that boils water, but considering it can be controlled remotely it's pretty decently priced.

One thing that you want to be wary of before you get excited: you'll have to make sure you have water in it before you go to sleep as otherwise you'll be boiling morning air when you wake up.

If you seriously can't be bothered to even wait for your water to boil then fear not, Kmart is also selling an Instant Hot Water Dispenser, which can give you two litres of steaming hot liquid in your cup, bowl or pot at 98°C with just the touch of a button.

It's perfect for those times that you want to boil some pasta or rice but don't have a spare decade to wait for it to heat up.

Thankfully this bad boy has a child lock setting that prevents your kids from pressing all the buttons and nobs and getting a royal burn on the arm.

The machine will set you back $69 and comes with variable temperature settings of 25 degrees, 75 degrees, 85 degrees and 98 degrees - just in case you don't want the water blisteringly hot.

It also has three different pour capacity options of 150ml, 230ml or 300ml.
