Liam Gallagher Adidas Spezial Trainers Go On eBay For £900

Liam Gallagher Adidas Spezial Trainers Go On eBay For £900

Love him or loathe him, there's no denying that Liam Gallagher is a legend. Music, fashion, Twitter, swearing - he's done the lot.

Some people love the Britpop rocker so much that they queued up overnight to buy a pair of trainers with his face on them. The Shockwave singer teamed up with fashion brand Adidas to create some of the nicest looking trainers we've seen in a long time. And fans went wild for the new Adidas Spezial limited edition crepes with his face on them.

Despite only coming out today and costing £99.95 on the Adidas store, they're already on eBay for £900. Now you've REALLY got to love Liam to pay that amount for them.

There are also pairs kicking around for £300, as those lucky enough to get hold of a pair try and rinse fans who weren't.

Liam isn't the first Gallagher to team up with Adidas though. His best mate Noel unveiled an exclusive Garwin sneaker back in 2017, who's is the best? We'll let you decide.

Known as the adidas LG Spezial, Liam was over the moon as Spezial Director Gary Aspden handed him the shoes on a video posted on Instagram.

"I have known Liam for over 20 years and we have always got on. He is one of the people who has worn and supported what we do with adidas Spezial since day one so this collaboration evolved organically," says Aspden.

In the video Liam, obviously elated said: "That is f***ing smart innit though man.

According to Aspden, Liam was heavily involved in the design of the trainer, which was influenced by his own style, he said: "He liked the silhouette of the Padiham SPZL on the whole but said he wanted it to look neutral and understated. This shoe became foundation for the LG SPZ."

He continued: "We made a few tweaks to the upper pattern along with a different tongue - as anyone who is a fan of gum soled, suede adidas trainers knows it is all about those subtle details. Liam gave comments on each sample until the final version which we held off on showing him until we presented them to him for the first time backstage at his gig in Hackney.

"We filmed that moment as we wanted to capture his honest reaction. Anyone who has worn the three stripes loyally for as long as he has will understand that excitement."

The Liam Gallagher adidas Spezial is scheduled to release on August 30th to coincide with the later arrival of his new album "Why Me? Why Not?" this September.

Speaking of his upcoming album release, Gallagher said in a statement: "I want the second album to be a step-up, because the hardest thing to do is to make something the same, only better. So that's what we've done. It's a better record than 'As You Were'. Which is saying something, as that was epic, wasn't it?"

Liam added: "Right ... here it is my adidas LG SPZL collaboration. Absolute honor to have been asked to design and create such a Biblical trainer. Hope you like..LG x"
