Donald Trump supporters gathered in America's capital over the weekend to continue barracking for the US President.

According to Rolling Stone, some people started a chant that was calling for the destruction of the Republican Party because they believe the GOP isn't doing enough to help Trump overturn the 2020 US Election.

Conservative commentator Nick Fuentes told the crowd: "In the first Million MAGA march we promised that if the GOP did not do everything in their power to keep Trump in office, then we would destroy the GOP.

"As we gather here in Washington, D.C. for a second Million MAGA March, we're done making promises. It has to happen now. We are going to destroy the GOP."

The 'Destroy the GOP' chant was one of many that rang out in Washington D.C., with the rally also hearing from other prominent far-right people.

Among them was conspiracy theorist and commentator Alex Jones, who made a concerning dig at President-elect Joe Biden.

Jones called Trump the 'best president the country had ever had' and added: "We will never back down to the Satanic pedophile, globalist New World Order and their walking-dead reanimated corpse Joe Biden, and we will never recognise him.

"President Trump had zero connection to Russians. No proof. Four years of investigation. With the Bidens, it's open and shut.

Alex Jones claimed that Joe Biden would be removed from the White House 'one way or another'.

"So I don't know who's going to the White House in 38 days, but I sure know this, Joe Biden is a globalist, and Joe Biden will be removed, one way or another!"

Trump was surprised by the massive outpouring of support for his Administration.

Taking to Twitter, the President wrote: "Wow! Thousands of people forming in Washington (DC) for Stop the Steal. Didn't know about this, but I'll be seeing them! #MAGA".

The rally also attracted counter protestors who believe MAGA supporters should accept the election.

WRC-TV said four people were taken to a hospital with stab wounds, and the Metropolitan Police Department told the station that 23 people were arrested.

Protestors were angered by the Supreme Court's decision last week to reject the lawsuit from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton that alleged several Republican states 'exploited the COVID-19 pandemic to justify ignoring federal and state election laws'.

The legal challenge was supported by 17 other Republican Attorney Generals and many were hoping it was going to be the Holy Grail to overturn the election results.
