Man Confronts Vegan Protestors At Town’s Annual Baconfest

When two worlds collide.

A small town in Pennsylvania held its annual bacon festival over the weekend and it celebrated all things bacon.

Dubbed as one of the Mid-Atlantic region's most popular events, BaconFest attracts people for its 'food, live music, family-friendly activities, cooking demos and every sort of bacon treat you can imagine'.

However, it also attracted vegan protestors who weren't one bit happy with a food festival that promoted a carnivorous diet.

There weren't many of them, however they held signs saying 'your bacon had a mom', 'be one less person harming animals', and 'killing animals is killing us'.

It's not known how long the protest lasted however at one point a person who clearly looked like they were getting into the spirit of BaconFest approached them for a chat.

Reddit

The juxtaposition of a man dressed head to toe in a bacon outfit trying to talk to protesting vegans has gone viral on social media.

One person on Reddit wrote: "Dress for the job you want, not the job you have."

Another added: "I would literally give up every other form of meat to only have bacon the rest of my life."

A third noted: "Do these people really expect to change the minds of people going to something called Baconfest ??? I understand protesting certain causes but can't help but feel this isn't the cause and/or the place."

A witty user also pointed out how there was a massively missed opportunity to call BaconFest BaCon and now everyone is upset.

This year's BaconFest was the 10th anniversary since the inaugural event.

While it brings in loads of people wanting to try bacon on everything, it does have a bigger cause for the rest of the community.

Based on the event's website, it states: "PA Bacon Fest is an annual fundraiser for the nonprofit Greater Easton Development Partnership (GEDP).

"Festival-goers will be asked for a $2 donation at the gates. Donations support year-round events that bring visitors to Easton and make the city a great place to live, work and play.

"Plus, you'll get a raffle ticket just for donating that could win you a prize basket from an Easton business.
