A man has complained about a bakery's choice to sell gingerbread persons rather than gingerbread men.

While the latter has been traditionally sold around the world, especially during Christmas time, some bakeries are choosing the former so they aren't gendering a sweet treat.

But it seems like one bloke was furious at that concept and raged about it on Twitter.

The Florida man, who describes himself on Twitter as a 'defender of freedom' (whoo-rahhh) asked 'what is happening to our country?' during his online rant.

While he might have wanted loads of support in the comments, instead he got some very sassy replies.

One person said: "Screaming crying and s***ting myself because a bakery used a gender neutral word for the man I wanted in my mouth."

Another added: "Oh no! Someone made a small decision that I don't like! The decision doesn't impact me at all, so I will piss and moan about it! The tragedy! How will I go on, knowing there are gingerbread persons out in the world? Eat a cookie and chill out dude."

A third wrote: "What is happening in our country is that an American is exercising their freedom to label a product they produced in the fashion they chose to because that is their right as a business owner. If you are against the idea of freedom, perhaps this isn't the country for you."

But then people started getting creative with their replies and asked whether the bloke wanted to see genitals on their gingerbread men to really drive home how a cookie is gendered.

Safe to say, the bloke will probably not want to complain about cookies again unless he wants a dressing down from everyone on the internet.
