A man has tried to see if he could handle the stresses of pregnancy and it did not go well.
Maitland Hanley posted a video to his TikTok account to show how he fared in the challenge meant to simulate what it is like to carry a newborn on your stomach.
While he obviously couldn't get pregnant himself, he did the next best thing.
He stuck a watermelon to his stomach and wrapped it around his body with cling film. He then wrapped two melons around his chest to simulate having much larger breasts.
The goal was to achieve a figure similar to that of a woman close to giving birth and boy was Maitland surprised to see how difficult it was with all that extra weight.
His partner mimicked the sound of an alarm clock and the TikTokker tried to start his new day with a pregnant belly.
Maitland was fairly cocky about his perceived ability to handle the new body and told the camera to 'watch this'.
But he couldn't even get out of bed because his core and back weren't strong enough to support him.
Despite swinging his legs off the bed, he wasn't able to get up and spend the rest of the day pretending to be pregnant.
"I thought it would be so much easier," he admitted as the video ended.
The video has been viewed nearly 16 million times and many people relate to how difficult life can be when you're at the latter stages of your pregnancy journey.
However, Maitland wasn't deterred by the bedroom incident and he tried to carry out other everyday activities.
He was given another chance at getting up but this time it was much harder. He placed himself on the floor of the living room and tried to get to standing, however his partner told him off for rolling onto his belly.
Maitland was also pressed to get out of the bath, put shoes on, order food from McDonald's and get out of the car.
Each experience left Maitland struggling to get it right and the results were hilarious.
It was actually a really good insight for blokes to see what women have to go through when they grow a baby inside of them.
So fellas take note, life gets exceedingly tough when you're pregnant so make sure you help out whenever you can.
