McCain Has Brought Back Potato Smiles And Made Them Mini

Ah McCain, you've done it again.

Ah McCain has done it again with the company bringing back the iconic Potato Smiles.

They were an absolute staple for families a few decades ago and it made eating potatoes so much more fun.

But then they were discontinued and a generation of kids grew up without these little bundles of joy on their dinner plates.

People hounded the company to revamp the product and make everyone happy again and McCain obliged last year by bringing out EmotiBites.

While that was all well and good, people wanted Smiles and Smiles is what they've finally received.

Pintrest

But McCain has released them in mini form as part of their quick cooking range.

The itty-bitty potato products also come in shoestring and straight cut fries and they promise you'll be chowing down on them in less than 10 minutes after whacking them in the oven.

Nicole Doolette, McCain Foods Marketing Manager for Potato, said in a statement: "It's great to be able to bring 'Smiles' back on shelves with a twist that is beneficial to our customers.

"The Quick Cook range was created to be fast with no compromise. We see these products as an essential side-of-plate lunch and dinner option for all individuals and families

"It's quite special to see parents be able to provide their kids the same childhood memory they once had through our Quick Cook 'Mini Smiles'. This just shows the great place McCain holds in Aussies hearts."

You're goddamn right.

These mini potato smiles will be available at all Aussie supermarkets for just $4.30, which is a bloody bargain if you ask us.

The minis only need about eight minutes in the oven, compared to 15 minutes for the EmotiBites.

While you're getting more potato in each smile with the EmotiBites, you can't put a price on speed.
