People have been shocked and elated to see McDonald's Australia's newest menu item.

Big Brother Australia star Tilly Whitfield revealed in a TikTok video that a Sydney-based Golden Arches was slinging out chocolate soft serve ice creams.

Macca's has been doing the classic vanilla ice cream for decades and it's certainly a fan favourite across the world.

However, a choccy version of the treat would well and truly switch up the game.

Tilly said the takeaway she copped the ice cream from was in Mosman and she urged people to get amongst it before it's 'goneskies'.

In her video, it showed a sign that said: "We are trialling new chocolate soft serve for a limited time only. Try one today."

You can only imagine how many people have rocked up to that Mosman Macca's to get a taste of the new offering.

One person described the flavour as like 'chocolate custard', which sounds pretty awesome.

Adelaide has reportedly been enjoying the choccy soft serves for months, however they've managed to keep tight-lipped about the whole thing.

According to News Corp, McDonald's Australia will be using customer feedback to see whether they want to keep this as a permanent fixture on the menu.

There's no telling how long the trial will last or whether it will be rolled out to other places around the country.

So, if you want it to stay you better talk it up otherwise it could be lost forever.
