People around the world have been praising Disney+ TV series The Mandalorian for its fresh take on the Star Wars universe.

If you've been dying to pretend you're the protagonist then you'll know that a Mandalorian outfit doesn't come cheap.

But if you're looking for the next best thing that actually works then you will be cheering on Nerf until the cows come home.

The company has unveiled a Mandalorian-style sniper rifle Nerf gun.

Disney+

The 'Amban Phase-Pulse Blaster replica' has now gone up for pre-order and there is no doubt that loads of kids will be begging for this for Christmas.

On the website, the product is described as: "The Mandalorian is battle-worn and tight-lipped, a formidable bounty hunter in an increasingly dangerous galaxy.

"Now you can imagine tracking down bounties and battling opponents with this Star Wars The Mandalorian Nerf Amban Phase-Pulse Blaster! It's meticulously detailed to capture the look of the weapon seen in the The Mandalorian live-action TV series on Disney Plus.

"It also makes screen-accurate blaster sounds and has an electronic scope with an illuminated lens!"

The replica sniper rifle comes with 10 Nerf darts and measures an impressive 50 inches long.

The only problem with this bad boy is that it only shoots one dart and can only hold one dart at any given time. It's not like the machine gun Nerf weapons that have huge magazines and can fire off dozens of shots in a couple of seconds.

You'll have to be cool, calm and collected to operate this piece of machinery.

The toy will set you back a cheeky $119, which is a fairly big whack for a toy gun. But can you really put a price on happiness?
