People Are Freaking Out Over The Foot Peeling TikTok Challenge

This isn't for the faint hearted.

It seems like there is a new TikTok challenge every day and this one isn't for the faint hearted.

If you're into those oddly satisfying videos of people stripping paint from walls or popping blackheads, then you'll probably be into this trend of people peeling the skin from their feet.

People all around the world have been buying foot peel masks, which are kind of like face masks but for your feet.

You're meant to whack them on for up to 90 minutes and let the juices do their thing.

The fruit acids inside the masks work to break down the hard skin, corns and callouses that build up on our feet. You'd be surprised by how much extra weight you're carrying around in dead skin.

After a few days, the outer layer of your skin breaks away and you're able to peel it off your foot like a banana to expose a fresh layer of healthy skin underneath.

Reacting to the thousands of videos out there, people have been shocked, horrified and strangely intrigued.

One person wrote: "How can anyone let their feet get into such a disgusting revolting mess? That is sickening."

Another added: "OMG FKN GROSS AS F*K...NO ONE AMD I MEAN NO ONE WANTS TO EVER SEE THIS KIND OF GROSSNESS."

A person who claims to have used it in the past was shocked at how well they worked.

"My feet peel but not like this lol. I wonder if she leaves it on longer. Next time I'm going to leave mine on longer," she wrote. "I need that deep, deep peel.

"I just want it. My feet still have some peeling left and they already feel soft in the peeled places. Glad I have one more pack left for next time."

People are meant to have baby soft skin on their feet for a few weeks after doing the treatment, but my guess is that people who were sickened by the videos will need a lot longer to recover.
