A legend holding a croc. What could be better?

People get tattoos for all sorts of reasons: to pay tribute, to never forget, to keep them going or just to get some sick art inked on their body.

While there might be some questionable designs out there, we can't help but praise the dedication and craftsmanship that went into this Aussie creation.

On the Facebook page Rate My Tattoo, a bloke has uploaded a Steve Irwin tatt that is simply too good not to write an article about.

Not only does it feature the iconic Aussie in his trademark 'mouth open with excitement' pose, but to make it even better, he's holding a croc.

But it's not the reptile we all know and love Down Under, it's the goddamn shoe that everyone loves to hate (despite them being really comfy).

What better combination could you ask for? After posting it onto the Rate My Tattoo page, he's been inundated with messages of support.

One person commented on the post, saying: "Bloody brilliant 10/10."

Another added: "Best one I've seen... ever."

A third wrote: "Wow got no words just wow."

Not everyone was on board though, with some claiming it's a waste of a perfectly good section of skin and the bloke might regret that down the track.

"Let's be honest this one could have gone either way," said one Facebook user.

A different user chimed in with the classic: "Tell me you lost a bet without telling me you lost a bet... winner."

Maybe Steve is looking down on us from upstairs and is grinning from ear to ear at the touching tribute.

We do know he'd be super proud of both his kids, with daughter Bindi recently giving birth to her first child, named Grace Warrior Irwin Powell, and his son Robert recently passing his driving test.

Bindi announced to the world last month that she and Chandler welcomed into the world their newborn.

"March 25, 2021. Celebrating the two loves of my life. Happy first wedding anniversary to my sweetheart husband and day of birth to our beautiful daughter," she wrote on Instagram.

"Grace Warrior Irwin Powell. Our graceful warrior is the most beautiful light. Grace is named after my great-grandmother, and relatives in Chandler's family dating back to the 1700s.

"Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior.

"Her last name is Powell and she already has such a kind soul just like her dad.

"There are no words to describe the infinite amount of love in our hearts for our sweet baby girl. She chose the perfect day to be born and we feel tremendously blessed."
