A horrific t-shirt design has been approved for sale on several printing websites and has been slammed by people on social media.

The design shows a military aircraft with the outline of two bodies falling out the back with the phrase 'Kabul Skydiving Club Est. 2021' emblazoned on it.

It's referencing the people who tragically died in Afghanistan after they held onto a C-17 aircraft that was leaving the capital as the Taliban seized control of the country.

Dozens of people swarmed the plane as it took off from Harmid Karzai International Airport and, while many hopped off at the last minute, at least two people held on for dear life.

Heartbreaking footage has gone viral on social media showing the plane take to the skies while two tiny bodies fall from the undercarriage.

And someone somewhere thought it would be a fun idea to turn this tragedy into a t-shirt and get loads of people to buy it.

The design has popped up on off-brand online clothing stores like Tee4Sport and TShirtAtLowPrice, according to News Corp.

What's even more baffling is the description that has been attached to the item.

"Featuring the scene of the plane flying in the sky and suddenly, there are two people falling from it, the Kabul Skydiving Club Shirt is officially becoming a phenomenon and goes viral on the internet after that!" it said..

"For those who are into Parachuting, skydiving, those who love jumping from the aeroplane to experience the highest mood, this shirt is totally suitable to wear!

Twitter

"The shirt originally does have its own meaning in the political aspect, but in the end, it depends on how you feel about it!"

The best bit comes at the end when they try to express their solidarity with Afghanis trying to flee from the Taliban.

"We were truly heartbroken and empathetic with the horrifying death of 2 people falling from the plane and it was a shock when the rest of the world understand how the people of Afghanistan are facing the situation over there," the description said.

The designs have since landed on social media, where people have been shocked, horrified and dumbfounded anyone would think this is a good idea.

One person said: "OMFG, "Kabul Skydiving Club"?? Who the f**k makes a graphic of Afghan people falling off of a plane as a t-shirt design?? What the f**king hell is wrong with you?!"

Many have called out the online retailers who have been selling the product and at least one, Etsy, has removed it from their site.
