A man has showed just how much he hates the new Cheer Cheese rebrand in a video posted to his TikTok account.

In the clip, a sticker rallying against cancel culture can be seen, alongside one that says 'How I Live My Life'.

He then shows how he has been recycling his old Coon Cheese packet to house all the new cheese he buys.

The post has been accompanied by hashtags that indicate he's against 'political correctness' and being 'woke'.

He's also said 'it's just cheese Karen' in an apparent dig at the people who complained that Coon Cheese was racist.

The man's video has racked up more than 600,000 views as well as 66,000 likes and 2,250 comments.

The reaction to the video was mixed, with some people supporting the move and others calling it petty.

One user wrote: "People need to realise the company chose to change it [the name], but yeah, holding onto a sticker and plastic tub'll show 'em."

Another added: "Sad thing is it's actually someone's name. Y'all will cancel anything."

A third added: "Imagine crying about the name on a box of cheese you buy once every two months, you actual children," said one.

Someone also pointed out the irony in criticising the snowflakes who campaigned for the rebrand as this act wreaks of snowflakery.

The rebrand has been slowly rolling out across the country after Saputo Dairy Australia, who owns the iconic cheese, announced it would be embarking on a new era.

Activist Stephen Hagan had been campaigning for the name to change for decades due to his belief it was problematic towards Indigenous people.

He was delighted to finally see his hard work pay off when he visited the supermarket and saw Cheer Cheese.

"It's satisfying to see the new brand in the shelves after my 21-year public fight against this grossly offensive brand name for a yellow piece of cheese,'' he said according to The Australian.

"I do acknowledge the great work done by Saputo to make good on their promise to replace Coon with Cheer as the new brand for their popular cheese."

The brand announced last year that it would be switching things up after 85 years, even though the company was named after American creator Edward William Coon, who patented a method for the fast maturation of cheese through high temperature and humidity, which has subsequently been dubbed 'Cooning'.
