The news channel is the odds-on favourite for the TV host's next move after quitting Good Morning Britain.

It's been a dramatic week for former Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan, who quit the UK TV show after storming off set earlier this week.

Everyone is keen to know what his next move is and SportsBet has the odds.

The company indicates Morgan is odds-on landing himself a permanent slot on Sky News Australia.

Other potential bets for the ex-host's future include starting a podcast with Alan Jones, joining Aussie morning shows Sunrise or Today as a permanent host, as well as interviewing either Queen Elizabeth, Prince Harry or Meghan Markle in a televised tell-all.

While the latter seems like a pipe dream - considering Markle was one of 41,000 to lodge a complaint to ITV about his scathing attacks on her on GMB - we could definitely see Piers finding a new home on Sky News Australia.

The odds come after Morgan doubled down on his shocking comments about the Duchess of Sussex's interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Meghan said she had suicidal thoughts as a result of her treatment by the royal family and the press.

Despite the concerning revelation, Piers said he didn't believe a single word she said, which attracted all the wrong attention.

After leaving GMB, he continued his tirade against Prince Harry's wife and indicated he was exercising his freedom of speech.

"On Monday, I said I didn't believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview," Morgan said in Wednesday morning tweet.

"I've had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don't. If you did, OK.

Morgan continued to defend his controversial views as he left his home on Wednesday morning to a crowd of media that was waiting outside his home.

"I believe in freedom of speech, I believe in the right to be allowed to have an opinion. If people want to believe Meghan Markle, that's entirely their right," he said.

"I don't believe almost anything that comes out of her mouth and I think the damage she's done to the British monarchy and to the Queen at a time when Prince Philip is lying in hospital is enormous and frankly contemptible.

"If I have to fall on my sword for expressing an honestly held opinion about Meghan Markle and that diatribe of bilge that she came out with in that interview, so be it."
