Police have served Jon-Bernard Kairouz with an infringement notice for taking part in the anti-lockdown protest in Sydney over the weekend.

Thousands of people marched into the CBD on Saturday (July 24) and rallied against the measures introduced to keep the city safe from coronavirus.

One of those was Jon-Bernard, who has skyrocketed to fame in recent weeks for 'predicting' the daily Covid-19 numbers in New South Wales.

He managed to get several straight days of correct predictions (which are based off his 'special' formula), however has since been wrong multiple times after the state government launched an operation to cut information leaks.

The 24-year-old spoke at Saturday's rally and professed to be the people's premier.

"I must say I've crunched the numbers, I don't think the cases are going to go up tomorrow," he told the crowd. "But from what I've calculated there's over 50,000 people here today.

"For everyone that's here-small businesses, people that are doing it tough, all we want is freedom."

New South Wales Police have since tracked him down and charged him with two counts of not comply with noticed direction/Covid-19 and encourage commission of crime.

He's also been served a penalty infringement notice (PIN) for attending the protest. He'll appear in court at a later date.

NSW Police

Police have asked people for information to help track down the identities of those who also joined the weekend's rally.

CrimeStoppers has been inundated with more than 5,500 tip offs and they've already identified 200 protestors.

At least 90 PINs have since been issued to people for breaching the public health orders.

More than 60 people have already been arrested and 35 people have been charged with a bunch of offences.

One of those charged has been accused of assaulting a police officer, while others are alleged to have resisted an officer in execution of duty or wilfully obstruct officer in execution of duty.

Two other men have been charged with animal cruelty for allegedly striking a police horse.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian didn't hold back when speaking about her reaction to the weekend's protest.

"Millions and millions of people across our state are doing the right thing, and it just broke my heart that people had such a disregard for their fellow citizens," she said.

"Can I say how absolutely disgusted I was. It broke my heart.

"Each of those people who protested illegally, I'm sure have loved ones. They are going to go home and risk passing that virus onto the most closest people to them.

"Thank you to all of us doing the right thing and to those of you who aren't, you should be ashamed of yourselves."
