After spending weeks in self-isolation and working from home, it would be interesting to see if all that time inside influenced the way people interacted with porn.
Thankfully, that's a thought that has been answered by Pornhub.
It would be entirely understandable if the rates of porn viewing skyrocketed during this time considering many of us had to forego casual hookups and other sexual activities.

On the global scale, traffic onto the site didn't change that much during the early stages of the pandemic.
However, visits to the site began to increase more rapidly from mid-March, with traffic on March 17 up 11.6 per cent compared to the average day.
Funnily enough, when Pornhub offered Italy free access to its Premium content after being the first country to instruct a nationwide lockdown, traffic increased by 57 per cent.
By the middle of March, Australia's porn uptake on the site had jumped by 5.2 per cent, which isn't massive. However, that could be due to proper self-isolation rules not kicking into gear until March 24.
More data provided by from The Conversation adds that nearly 80 per cent of Australia's porn viewing comes from three states: New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.

That's not all that surprising considering how they're the three most populous states in the country.
Brisbane had the highest jump in porn viewers from January to the end of March, with analytics showing a 20 per cent jump in the number of users. Perth and Adelaide also showed increases above the national average during March.
Lesbian porn remains the number one searched for category for Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth and Sydney. It came second in Melbourne, fifth in Hobart and seventh in Darwin.

Hobart and Darwin's top searched arenas were Anal and Bondage respectively, while Melbourne's top search is Japanese. Teen is also pretty popular, being second in Brisbane, Darwin and Hobart and third in Adelaide.
MILF porn is slowly starting to lose appeal in Australia after commanding the Top Three list for ages and has slipped into fourth most popular category on average.
The rise of things like OnlyFans and the taste for something a little more 'real' has seen the Amateur category jump to second most popular in Adelaide, Canberra and Perth, while it sits at third for Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Other categories that have featured in the Top Ten include Teen, Hentai, Threesome, Cartoon and Popular With Women.
