Voting isn't compulsory for Americans and citizens have every right to watch each election cycle roll past without getting involved.

However, with polling stations opening up tomorrow (3 November) for what has so far proven to be a fraught election, it appears Pornhub is keen to see its users making their voices heard.

In fact, it appears that if people want to pleasure themselves, they will have to submit their ballot first.

Pornhub has unveiled its 'Give A F**k, Get A F**k' campaign, which seeks to encourage people to take an interest in the future of their elected officials.

While they won't have to prove that they've done so (because that would be likely impossible), US visitors to the site will be greeted with an overlay reminding them to vote. This will run from 10am to 9pm ET on 3 November.

Pornhub Vice President Corey Price said in a statement: "Roughly 43 percent of eligible voters-equal to 100 million people-didn't vote in the 2016 U.S Presidential Election, according to turnout estimates from the U.S. Elections Project.

"We want to encourage people to do their civic duty this year by casting their ballot and having their voice heard."

The adult film website has also recruited some of the actors that feature in the videos hosted on the site to help drive home their message.

Asa Akira, Janice Griffith, Natassia Dreams, Lance Hart, Sovereign Syre, Lotus Laine, and Domino Presley are part of the campaign and are urging voters to make their voices heard.

The 'Give A F**k, Get A F**k' campaign has been launched in partnership with creative agency Just For Fun.

A spokesperson for the agency said in a statement: "In 2016, over 100 million eligible voters had zero f***s to give about the election.

"This year, to encourage everyone to get off the couch and head to the polling places, we knew we needed to hit them where it hurts - their pants."
