Food challenges are seriously enticing to people all around the world because so many of us reckon our stomachs are as big as our appetites. Some can polish off an enormous feast with absolutely no bother at all, while others struggle to just finish the chips on their plate.

If you're in the former category then you might want to take on the challenge that an Australian restaurant has set for diners.

Try not to salivate too much over Brisbane eatery Ninth Street's whopping 3kg hotdog and chips meal.

Can you DOWN THE DOG!? :flushed: This monster challenge is to finish the 3kgs in 30mins :alarm_clock: :fire: $50 to play :fire: Winner gets: :yen:...

A picture of the challenge alone would be enough to make some people feel full.

The restaurant is letting anyone take on the mammoth task of finishing this bad boy in under 30 minutes for a chance to get the whole thing free.

It will cost you $50 to take on the challenge - however, if you complete it in 30 minutes or less you'll get your money back, plus a $50 voucher to have a more appropriately sized meal at Ninth Street next time.

You'll also get a t-shirt and have your accomplishment immortalised in a photo on their wall.

Because it's such a humungous meal for the kitchen to prepare, they aren't able to whip it up on the spot. You have to give the team at least 24 hours notice that you'll be pushing your stomach to its limits.

After the team at Ninth Street published their challenge on their Facebook page, they've been absolutely flooded with comments from people who are eager to take it on.

Some boldly reckoned they could smash the hotdog meal in just 20 minutes and to that we say: "Put your money where your mouth is."

It's not clear how long the challenge will be running, so you'd better get in while they still have enough massive hotdogs and buns to go around.
