Study Claims People Named John And Kate Most Likely To Be Famous

In nearly every country on the planet, there is at least one famous person.

Whether they are a huge movie star, a successful athlete, a brilliant politician, a critically acclaimed activist, a social media star, or any other myriad of ways of being famous, there's always at least one.

There's a lot that goes into making someone worthy of the masses' attention and there are a lot similarities that these famous people have.

A study has been conducted to see what names for both males and females ends up being the most likely for a famous person.

Flowercard trawled through the names of thousands of A-listers and discovered that John and Kate are the most popular names for celebrities.

There are a whopping 546 famous Johns, compared to 232 Kates.

Robert, James, Michael and William were recorded in the top five male names, while Elizabeth, Anne, Mary and Margaret made the female list.

Flowercard wrote on their website: "We took a list of over 20,000 names from various lists on Wikipedia which listed male and female actors, musicians and TV and reality stars from the UK and USA.

"Using this list, we were then able to create a count for each name grouping derivatives of names together. For example, when counting the name John, we also counted names such as Jon, Jonathan, Johnny etc, giving us our ranking."

The company went a little deeper to see what names were most common depending on the industry they worked. John and Kate are also the most likely name for a famous movie or reality TV star, while John and Elizabeth are more popular in the music industry.

Interestingly, on the flip side, Wentworth Miller is the only famous male to have his first name, with Fabian and Horatio also very unique.

It's worth noting that if you're named John or Kate, you won't have a better chance at becoming famous. You have to do all the work yourself, sadly.

A separate study looked into what are the most popular birth months for celebrities.

The Journal of Social Sciences researched when the biggest celebrities, politicians and scientists were born and it seems a lot are popped out in January and February. If we're being specific here, the big ones have birthdays between January 20 and February 18.

While Aquariuses are known for being unpredictable and inefficient, at least you'll have the coin and stardom to rely on.

Just look at the rich and famous alumni that you could join if you reach your full potential: Ronda Rousey, Harry Styles, Jennifer Anniston, Oprah and Cristiano Ronaldo.
