It's a popular opinion that 2020 is a dumpster fire of a year, and with good reason. But every now and again, something comes along to make things a little bit better.

El Camino Cantina is launching a three-week-long margarita festival. While it won't solve any global problems, it can certainly help cheer you up after a rough day at the office.

RitaPalooza will run from 25 August to 12 September and in addition to the unique and outrageous cocktails, there will also be DJs, live music and activities.

People who flock to the boozy festival will be treated to 15 different types of margaritas - with some 'interesting' variations on offer.

For instance, take El Camino's Rita of the month for August - Nerds flavour. A blurb on the website describes it thus: "Served frozen, it is grape flavoured, purple in appearance and served with Nerds - the tangy crunchiness of the candy complementing the sweet-sour Rita."

There will be ones inspired by Fairy Bread and others will taste like Nerds and Hubba Bubba.

Additionally, there will be a blind tasting session at 6pm every night to send your tastebuds and other sensations on a wild ride.

When you pay your $10 for entry, you can get a little board of six 30ml shots of different flavoured margaritas. You can also up the ante by paying for a food package that will grant you a three-course menu. It's probably ideal to line the stomach so that you don't throw up a rainbow of different flavoured and coloured margaritas.

There will be tacos, a wing roulette session as well as fajitas.
