Look, we're rapidly approaching the silly season and people all over Australia are understandably enjoying the good times.

Some of us are knocking back alcohol faster than you can say 'one more bottle of Savvy B please' and that can have an impact on your health.

Well, if you've noticed the launch into spring has affected your waistline just a touch then there is a solution.

If you hit up Arena Fitness at Goodlife Health Clubs, you could burn off the previous night's antics in less than an hour.

Their High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) classes can burn up to 800 calories in a single session.

Considering a standard glass of vino blanco is roughly 120 calories, a cheeky 45-minute HIIT session would be the perfect remedy to work off the liquid.

Whether you would want to tackle that the next day or a little later in the week is up to you, but at least you have a pretty decent option up your sleeve, especially as we edge closer to the Christmas and New Year period where there is a party seemingly every few days.

Arena says its HIIT classes are designed to 'burn fat, build strength, and improve fitness' and are 'run by an experienced functional training coach with the additional support of large demonstrational screens to keep you on track'.

But don't think that you'll just be plonked onto a treadmill and told to run until your legs can no longer carry you.

The gym company uses a mix of free weights, boxing bags, agility ladders, resistance bands to create a fun and dynamic exercise experience.

There are more than 30 Arena Fitness gyms within Goodlife Health Clubs dotted around Australia, so just because you're not in a capital city, doesn't mean you have to miss out.

If you're needing an outlet to manage all those hectic work parties, you can hit up a HIIT class now.
