Prepare your wallets and your stomachs because Violet Crumble has just set the bar very high for delectable sweets in 2020.

We've been absolutely flooded with new food products in Australia this year and we are eternally grateful for those offerings.

But they will all pale in comparison to Violet Crumble's new caramel chocolate version.

The best bit is these bad boys come in packets of bite sized chunks.

After a bit of market research from parent company Robern Menz, the folks at Violet Crumblediscovered that the idea of lathering some caramel choccy onto the fan favourite treat was a good idea (28 percent of people agreed that would be epic).

Robern Menz CEO Phil Sims said in a statement: "It's been a challenging year for all Australians, to say the least, and we know that our sweet flavour combinations offer some satisfying relief and escapism, bringing some fun back into the day and shattering cravings.

"When we first trialled the new flavour combo we instantly knew we were on to something. You bite into that smooth caramel flavour, followed by the shattering sharpness of the honeycomb and it smells incredible."

They're currently on sale at Woolworths for just $3 but a 170g bag will usually cost you $4.40. So go on and fill your boots because these will fly off the shelves.

People have already managed to grab a packet or two and say they're delicious, while others say they will stop at nothing to find them.

One shopper wrote on Facebook: "I got them last week! OMG they are so delicious."

Another added: "I must try them. They look really sweet."

Violet Crumble upped the ante last year when it debuted the incredible dark chocolate version of the honeycomb treat and fans were understandably thrilled. We're sure the Caramel version will be just as, if not more popular.
