White Claw Hard Seltzer Lands In Australia Today

White Claw Hard Seltzer Lands In Australia Today

Those who crave the basic can finally celebrate today as the famed American drink White Claw lands in Australia.

The hard seltzer has finally arrived Down Under after taking the US by storm.

The version coming to our shores will be slightly less alcoholic than the American counterpart, with the Aussie drink being 4.5 per cent ABV compared to five per cent across the Pacific.

A four-pack will set you back a cheeky $23.99, so you better have all your hard-earned cash saved up for these bad boys.

Aussies will get to enjoy three flavours: Mango, Natural Lime and Ruby Grapefruit.

That's a small portion of the available flavours in the US, but if White Claw is successful here then we could soon be drinking up the likes of Tangerine, Black Cherry, Raspberry, Watermelon, Lemon and Pure (oooh that sounds vague).

The drink is incredibly popular in America and currently takes up 60 per cent of the hard seltzer market share.

If you're wondering what the hell a 'hard seltzer' is then let us explain: it's essentially flavoured sparkling water with an alcoholic kick.

published at6 months ago

Mark Anthony Brands International CEO Davin Nugent said in a statement: "Making the decision to come here was an easy one, as consumers familiar with the brand in America have made sure to have their voices heard on our social media channels, demanding we bring White Claw to Aussie shores."

James Brindley, managing director of Lion Australia, added: "The popularity of White Claw cannot be disputed. Despite the fact the product has not actually been available in Australia up until now, it has well and truly earned its place in popular culture and is the market leader globally in this exciting new category.

"It is the most sought-after beverage brand in the world right now.

"It is a natural fit for our growing portfolio of adult beverages beyond our core beer range - and taps into a number of consumer trends around lower-calorie and lower-sugar products.
