Sydney Women Freak Out As Huge Spider Crawls On The Inside Of Their Car

A car full of women have understandably gone nuts when they discovered a huge spider had made the inside of their vehicle its home.

Seeing a spider in Australia is one of those things that you just expect, whether it's when you flip up the lid in the bathroom or when you put your shoes on.

Even though it's semi-expected, it's still terrifying when the eight-legged creatures pop up.

But imagine if you are in control of a massive piece of machinery when a huntsman started crawling up the walls behind you.

A Sydney woman had to make sure she didn't run her car straight off the road when her sisters started screaming.

One of the women said: "Me, my sisters and mum were on our way to an event and on the drive there, I looked up and see a massive spider above our heads and straight away started recording.

"I had just spotted it right before we got onto a bridge so we couldn't pull over. After a few long minutes of trying to not have an accident and also not have this spider crawl on us, we pull over and eventually flick it out of the car with a stick."

There were a hell of a lot of screams, which is pretty understandable when you realise that you're locked in a tiny enclosure with a monster like that.

What's even worse is that huntsman spiders are known to jump, so they could have had the creature spring onto their faces at any moment.

Praise to the driver who kept the car on the road long enough to pull over and safely get the spider out safely.

People applauded everyone for totally keeping their cool during the whole ordeal.

One person wrote: "I would have freaked out too!!! That was one creepy huge awful spider!!! Hazards and pulling over is the best thing to do."

Another added: "And THIS is why I don't live in Australia."

A third said: "I'd drove that car straight into a lake."

At least they didn't end up like this woman who had a terrible accident as a result of a spider being in her car.

Police in Cairo, New York, shared a photo of the unknown woman's wrecked car on Facebook, explaining she had spotted a spider while driving and 'panicked'.

The woman suffered a leg injury from the crash. By the looks of things, her car had a bit of a nasty bump, too.

The post read: "Thank you again for the help Cairo Fire, Cairo Ambulance, Greene County Medics and Greene County Sheriffs.

"After investigating today's crash on Silver Spur Road we feel it necessary to bring up a contributing factor that is not covered too often. It is believed that the operator of the vehicle noticed a SPIDER in the drivers area with her as she was driving.

The operator panicked and crashed suffering a leg injury from the crash."

Urging arachnophobic drivers to try not to let their fear become life-threatening, the post added: "We know that it is easier for some drivers than others but PLEASE, try to teach new drivers and yourselves to overcome the fear and pull over to a safe place. Lives depend on it."
