McDonald’s worker explains how to get fresh batch of fries without asking for no salt

A former McDonald's worker has revealed some 'secrets' of working at the fast food restaurant, including how to get fresh fries without asking for no salt.

There's nothing worse than getting your Maccies order and finding your fries aren't piping hot. One way to make sure you get a fresh portion is to ask for them with no salt.

This is because salt is added to the fries as standard before they are served, so asking for them without ensures you'll always have a fresh batch made especially.

But TikToker @jodessy has explained there's actually a much simpler way. In a video, she said: "Asking for fries no salt is just annoying.

"Just say you want the fries dropped fresh, nine times out of 10 the fries are already fresh."

The TikToker revealed other 'secrets', explaining why the ice cream machine at her particular restaurant was always 'broken'.

"The ice cream machine is actually rarely broken at least at my location, we just didn't want to change those heavy bags of shake mix," she said.

"We're actually not allowed to take tips, just in case you wanted to tip us, but I still took them though."

Other TikTokers were quick to comment on the video, with some backing up the claims.

One person wrote: "I worked at McDonald's and these are all accurate."

While another said: "I worked at McDonald’s and can confirm this is true."

A third added: "I say no salt on the fries everywhere - not only because I want them fresh though but because people really do be putting too much salt."

And a fourth wrote: "I worked at McDonald's for three years and the reason the ice cream machine is always broken for me was because it goes through a cleaning cycle."

In other McDonald's news, one man revealed how to bag free chicken nuggets from the fast food giant.

The hack comes from TikToker Ashley Osbourne, who goes by the name of @ozzy_on_a_mission on the popular video platform.

In the McDonald's that Osbourne is ordering at, he points out that the large six chicken McNuggets meal costs £6.09.

This includes obviously the six nuggets, large fries and a large drink.

But Osbourne says that if you end up buying two four-piece chicken McNuggets Happy Meals, then you will end up with more food for less money.

With this, you get two drinks, two bags of fries and eight nuggets for £5.98 - and of course, don't forget the two toys.
