Mum Shocked After Noticing 'Used' Sex Toy In Charity Shop

The mother from London was stunned after spotting a 'used' sex toy in the shop window of a charity shop

A mum was shocked to notice a 'used' sex toy for sale in a charity shop in Nottingham.

Ellie Hardie, from London, was forced to look twice after spotting a 'G-tickler' displayed at the front of the store with an attached sticker that read: "£8.99 (USED)."

The 30-year-old was in the area, dropping gifts off for her family, after deciding to take a quick look at the shops to see if she could spot any decent bargains.

However, as the mum of two was taking a glance through the shop window, she noticed the pink vibrator displayed next to a pair of sparkly shoes.

Sales assistant Ellie said: "The high street is filled with charity shops so I always browse the windows and have a bit of a giggle at the unusual items on offer.

"But none as unusual as the one I spotted on the bottom shelf between a jewellery stand and some sparkly shoes.

"At first, I had a giggle at the find until I had to look twice at the price sticker £8.99 and then in brackets 'used'.

"I was disgusted but see the funny side and just knew I had to take a photo.

"I know this time of year people need some good Christmas vibes but this seems a step too far."

After uploading a photo on Facebook, users were quick to comment on the post, which was captioned: "The used "tickled' me!!! Why?!?!"

One Facebook user said: "Used!? Straight in the bin surely!?"

Another added: "I'm hoping that whoever put this out for sale on the shelf, mistook it for a regular massager. Otherwise, that's absolutely rank."

A third commented: "Yet you've got to wear a mask to go in said shop and buy a used vibrator.

"What is wrong with people, who is donating this and who thinks it's a good idea to put it on the shelf!"

Thankfully, a spokesperson from the charity shop confirmed the whole thing was just a joke.

They told the Mirror: "Our manager removed it upon finding it, although I'm not sure who put it there in the first place.

"Our shop only labels products with printed prices, but this was a handwritten price label. It's certainly not something that we'd sell."

The 'beginner-friendly' sex toy is still listed on the Lovehoney website for £19.99.

The item is described as being fully waterproof for easy cleaning, boasting an average 4.5 out of 5 customer rating.
