Ariana Grande and fiancé Pete Davidson have reportedly split.

The couple only announced their engagement four month ago, but according to CNN, have decided to call it a day.

A source close to the singer told People: "It was way too soon. It's not shocking to anyone."

Twenty-five-year-old Ariana and Saturday Night Live comedian Pete started seeing each other back in May and were engaged and living together within in weeks. As if that isn't a big enough show of commitment they also got some matching tattoos and a pet pig, which they named Piggy Smalls.

Pete initially shared the news of their engagement on social media in June posting a photo of their hands - hers with a massive rock on her ring finger - and the caption: "U know what you'd dream it be like? It's better than that."

However, rumours started flying that all wasn't well between the couple earlier this month after Pete was spotted with a cover-up over his tattoo of the Ariana bunny mask on his neck.

Meanwhile, Ariana has shared a number of emotional messages on her social media, with one saying simply: "Can i pls have one okay day. Just one. pls. I'm so tired pls."

In September Ariana announced she would be taking some time off, with one of her reps telling People: "Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much needed time to heal and mend.

"She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without deadline. She thanks her fans for their understanding."

Ariana was rocked by the news that her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller had died on 7 September, sharing a tribute to the late rapper she called him her 'dearest friend'.

The singer also spoke out in May to say she was suffering from post traumatic stress disorder following the suicide bomb attack at her concert in Manchester in 2017,

Although neither Pete nor Ariana has confirmed a split, Pete has taken himself off social media.
