Dave Grohl Writes Song About 10-Year-Old Girl Who Challenged Him To Drum Battle
Dave Grohl has written a song about the young girl who challenged him to a drum battle.
The rock star posted the heartwarming clip to Foo Fighters' Twitter account, with him sat behind his kit.
In the video, the 51-year-old admitted defeat to 'round one' but said it wasn't over.
He says: "Ok Nandi, you got me. You win round one. But I got something special for you, something you've never heard before. Something I've never heard before, because I'm about to write this off the top of my head... for you."
The legend then gets into it.
The lyrics are:
"Nandi, Nandi, Nandi, Nandi.
"Nandi, number one super girl.
"Nandi, best drummer in the world.
"Nandi, always right on time.
"Nandi, hero wunderkind.
"She got the power, she got the sound.
"Nandi on the drums makes the world go round.
"Nandi, she played Everlong.
"Nandi, but she can play anything.
"Nandi, coolest on the scene.

"Nandi, 21st century.
"She got the power, she got the soul.
"Gonna save the world with her rock and roll.
"She got the power, she got the scream.
"Everybody knows Nandi's the queen.
"Nandi, Nandi, Nandi, Nandi, queen of rock and roll, rock and roll!!"
Dave posted the clip with the caption: "Ok @Nandi_Bushell....Round 2! Every superhero needs a theme song. Here's one for you! Mad props to The Grohlettes for the background vocals."
He certainly threw down the gauntlet with that one. Over to you, Nandi.
This unlikely, but pretty amazing, friendship all started when Nandi tweeted a video of her absolutely smashing a rendition of Foo's 1997 hit 'Everlong' on the drums.
She posted the clip alongside the description: "My dream is to one day jam with Dave Grohl, @taylorhawkins and all the @foofighters!
"Mr Grohl I would love to have a drum battle with you! I LOVE Everlong it's really hard to play as it's so fast but so much FUN! #foofighters".
She ended the video by pointing her stick to the camera and shouting: "Check mate!"
Alongside a video of himself performing the same song, he wrote: "Hey @Nandi_Bushell! Challenge accepted.
"Haven't played these songs in a loooooong time.....thanks for the inspiration!!! Your move!!! Your friend in rock, Dave (Thanks to my daughter, Harper for letting me borrow her drum set)."
He also said: "Today, I'm going to give you something you may not have heard before.
"This is a song called 'Dead End Friends' from a band called Dead Crooked Vultures, which is me playing drums, Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age playing guitar and singing, and John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin playing bass.
"This is my response to your challenge. So now the ball is in your court."
