Britney Spears fans are shocked after seeing a video where she appears to demonstrate her 'real' singing voice. Have a listen for yourself:

The popstar recently spoke out about her father's conservatorship over her, saying she wants to have more control over her own life again.

And fans backing the #freebritney movement believe record labels and bosses forced her to change the way she sung during her career.

In a video posted to TikTok, a younger Britney can be seen given a rendition of 'Like A Prayer' by Madonna.

And while she is known to have a fairly high-pitched voice, the footage shows it appearing to be, in fact, quite deep.

With the controversy surrounding the conservatorship her father has over her, Britney fans piled into the comments to show their support and disbelief at what she used to sound like.

One wrote: "Her voice on her first album was so different."

Another chimed in: "The industry destroys people's talent, it's crazy."

"They did this with Michael Jackson," commented a third.

While another added: "Her voice is so beautiful here."

This comes after a heartbreaking clip of a clearly distressed Britney performing with a 102F (38.8C) degree temperature, resurfaced online.

The video was filmed at a concert in July 2018 in Atlantic City by fan Zachary Gordon and shows the 39-year-old telling the audience that she feels unwell and is running a fever.

In the clip, Spears can be heard saying: "It's going to be really, really hot up here - I'm warning you. I'm about to pass out. I'm sick."

Then adding: "I actually have a 102 fever right now"

Spears previously submitted court documents that claim she was forced to perform while unwell, with the unearthed clip seemingly backing up her claims.

The popstar's personal affairs and finances have been overseen by a court-ordered conservatorship - a legal arrangement usually reserved for the elderly or infirm - since 2008.

Yesterday (23 June), Britney gave evidence via an audio link at a court hearing in which she said she believed her father 'should be in jail'.

Elsewhere in her testimony Spears said she was 'angry' and 'depressed', while comparing her treatment during the conservatorship as 'sex trafficking'.

Fans have reacted with disgust after seeing the clip, with Gordon writing: "I just thought, 'Wow, she's such a trooper and cares so much to put on a show for her fans.'

In response to the allegations, a statement on behalf of Jamie, 68, was read out in court, which said: "He is sorry to see his daughter suffering and in so much pain.

"Mr Spears loves his daughter very much."
