When it comes to food, everyone is different and we all have own peccadilloes.

But music legend and Kiss frontman Gene Simmons has really put the cat among the pigeons with his recent admission.

It appears that he 70-year-old has a special trick to keep the milk in his cereal cold; he puts ice cubes in it. Massive ice cubes. Huge.

I know, I'm not sure whether to be impressed or deeply concerned, but there we are.

Documenting his morning ritual, Simmons posted some photographic evidence of his bowl of cereal.

In an effort to see whether he was alone or not, the singer asked: "Anyone else put ice cubes in their cereal?"

Now, I'm not even going to get into the fact he has mixed shredded wheat with weetos; that's a debate for another time.

So back to the matter at hand. While you may think this was an experiment, oh no; according to his son Nick, this is a daily occurrence of which seems to be fairly ashamed.

Replying to his dad's post, Nick wrote: "30 years. 30 years watching him do this. This is my life."

According to reports, Simmons' kids have always given him a bit of stick for his peculiar habit, and it was actually his daughter Sophie who told him to tweet about it.

So what did people say?

Unsurprisingly, there were a fair few who just couldn't understand what was going on.

One critic wrote: "Absolutely not. Try chilling your bowl if you want that milk ice cold."

A second user commented: "Gene. No."

While another added: "You should have to answer to a high court for this crime."

But not everyone was so opposed to the ice trick, some were blown away.

Praising Simmons for his out-of-the-box thinking, one fan said: "We all celebrating 2020, but my man already in 2021."

A second then put: "Like a boss."

What do you think? Is Simmons a visionary or off his rocker?

For what it's worth, I can see where he's coming from, but the ice cubes are just way too big - they would totally compromise the balance of flavours. But each to their own, I guess.
