Marilyn Manson collapsed during a Houston concert on Saturday night due to a reported case of 'food poisoning'.
According to Houston Press, Manson's tour manager escorted photographers from the pit prior to the start of the rocker's concert, explaining that the singer was feeling very ill and did not want his picture taken.
He struggled his way through four songs on August 18 at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas, before he collapsed.
Blabbermouth reported that he 'gave it his all' during the short set even though he was 'mostly stationary and visibly shaking at times'.
At the finale of one of his songs, Manson 'collapsed on top of one of the monitors'.
His condition is being attributed to food poisoning - though Manson himself mentioned 'heat poisoning', according to Ultimate Classic Rock.
Rob Zombie, who is touring with Manson, even told the crowd that the headliner was 'under the weather' and could not join him for their usual duet, a cover of The Beatles' Helter Skelter.
"He's probably on the bus feeling like crap. I need a partner for the next song so let's sing it really loud and make him feel better," Zombie said.
In a review of the concert, the Houston Press praised Manson for trying to perform despite being ill.
"Upon finishing Sweet Dreams he collapsed on top of one of the monitors," reviewer Jack Gorman wrote. "Roadies could be seen on the side of the stage worriedly contemplating on whether or not to assist him."
Thanks Houston for being understanding. I ended up in doctor's care, but I gave it my best and you guys were amazing.

Last year, Manson, 49, was forced to postpone his Heaven Upside Down tour after he suffered a nasty onstage injury during a New York City show in October 2017 when a stage prop fell, crushing his leg.
When he eventually felt well enough to resume performing, he used a wheelchair. Then in November 2017, he struggled through a show in Italy while recovering from the injury.
Manson also abruptly ended the performance after going on an incoherent rant. He dropped his microphone and suddenly left the stage.
Hopefully he'll start to have a bit more luck with his live gigs in the future.
