Woman Storms Off Stage With Chair On X-Factor After Being Booted Off

I mean, if you can't sing better, just nab a bit of furniture...

We've seen pretty much everything on The X Factor by this point. Tantrums, tears, the occasional fist-fight, but this weekend we saw something new entirely.

Nobody before has tried to steal a piece of the furniture, or - at least - not as a form of protest.

Allow me to explain. This weekend the contestants were taking part in 'The Six Chair Challenge'. In a nutshell, there are six chairs on the stage and each person who impresses one of the six judges gets to sit down in a chair.

If they then see someone who outperforms them, or they just like the look of better, they can change out whoever is in their chair at any time.

If you're sat in one of the judges' chairs at the end of the show, then you've won a place at that judge's house for the next round. Sound simple enough?

OK, so it's pretty convoluted and gimmicky, but hell, it's The X Factor. What were you expecting? However, it does create drama, it turns out.

One of the contestants from the 'Overs' category decided that she didn't agree with Ayda Field's decision to swap her out.

To prove how much she cared about staying in the contest she simply picked up the chair and started to bugger off with it. If she couldn't sit in it, nobody could.

Not sure exactly how she thought that was going to help, but there we are.

A show source said: "She picks up the chair and walks across the stage and heads off as if she is going to leave with it.

"It causes uproar with the judges who have to beg her to come back.

"It has never happened before, but the woman wanted to make it clear how much it meant to her."

It's true - Robbie Williams (Ayda's husband) did have to implore the woman to bring the furniture back.

The scenes were broadcast on last night's show, when Ayda chose her final six contestants from the Overs category.

Luckily for her, Robbie then went and formed a group out of some of the cast-offs from the category to ensure that she stayed in the competition.

See, all you have to do is kick off and you'll get what you want. That's the real diva musician way to do things. What a message to send to all of the kids out there.

She then sang a song with Panda, another contestant who had been given the boot. And they'll both head back to Robbie's house for, well, whatever the next round holds.
