A Coffee Machine Has Gone Viral Because It Sounds Like Britney Spears

A Coffee Machine Has Gone Viral Because It Sounds Like Britney Spears

Things can go viral for all kinds of reasons - some good, some bad, some just downright unexpected. Here, folks, we have a little bit of all three.

This coffee machine has found viral fame after managing to rack up more than 40,000 retweets and 7,000 likes, purely because it sounds like the intro to Britney Spears' hit 'Stronger'.

A clip of the DeLonghi Magnifica machine in action was shared on Twitter by 'fledgling comedian' Samantha Stoakes from Philadelphia, who wrote: "The coffee machine at my hotel sounds just like the intro to 'Stronger' by Britney Spears."

And you know what? It kinda does. If you're not convinced, remind yourself of that iconic intro here.

One person joked: "How would you like your coffee? STRONGER THAN YESTERDAY!"

Another said: "FREE BRITNEY SHE'S STUCK INSIDE."

And believe it or not, the machine Stoakes stumbled across isn't the only one that's mimicking Britney's song from 2000. In fact, it turns out there are loads out there.

A humble coffee machine as one of the most unlikely viral stars of 2019? I'm into it, to be honest.

Once again it's been a bit of a mixed bag this year, with everything from butt sunning and the the frankly baffling chair challenge through to the 'Storm Area 51' debacle and people glueing their top lips to the skin beneath their nose.

Hell, we've even had an education in the Oxford comma over on TikTok - who'd have thought it?
