A tornado has killed 51 people and destroyed a large number of buildings in the eastern province of Jiangsu, Chinese state media has reported.
The tornado hit near the city of Yancheng, killing and injuring a large number of people, as well as blocking roads.
CCTV showed overturned vehicles, snapped street light poles and toppled electricity pylons, AP reports.

The Jiangsu provincial fire and rescue service provided no comment on casualties but said the storm has been accompanied by hail.
A number of areas in China have been hit by torrential rains this week.
Floods in central China killed 22 people over the past week and displaced nearly 200,000, state media has said.
Economic losses from the floods are estimated at 2.7bn yuan ($410m)
