Enjoy it, but leave the kids at home

A new resort and casino, featuring the largest pool amphitheatre area in the world, will throw open the doors to take in holidaymakers later on this year.

The good news if you've not got any kids - and, let's face it, even if you have - is that this is to be Las Vegas' first over-21s-only casino.

Strange as it may seem, the Circa Resort and Casino is going to be for adults only, meaning that you'll have to leave the kids at home if you're to enjoy the 'old school hospitality' that will be on offer there.

In the resort, there will be 777 rooms in a large and slightly strangely shaped main building, which has been designed and built by Steelman Partners and Alice O'Keefe, the resort group's Director of Design and Architecture.

There's a whole host of rooms to choose from, from double rooms to bunk bed rooms, to - obviously, because this is Vegas - gigantic suites for high rollers and celebrities.

Some of the rooms even have their own wet bars in-room and dining tables. It's minimal, but with that classic Vegas feel, nonetheless.

However, it's outside of the rooms that the casino resort really catches the eye.

There's a two-storey casino area, the world's largest sportsbook - where you can bet on sports competitions - and a three-storey stadium with a 78 million pixel sports screen that can be viewed on several floors of the property.

As well as that, there's that pool amphitheatre that was mentioned earlier on.

You can be relaxing in one of the six pools or two spas while enjoying all the major televised sports events you could hope for on a gigantic screen.

You can even book a spot for up to 50 guests.

There are loads of options for food, too. Built into the complex are venues for all different types of cuisine, from steak to barbecue to a family-style deli.

It was actually supposed to open fully in December 2020, but the team behind it recently announced they'll be opening the first five floors and the parking garage - the fantastically named 'Garage Mahal' - on 28 October 2020.

CEO Derek Stevens said: "Sometimes life throws you curveballs, and 2020 has been an unpredictable year for the entire world,

"However, thanks to the creativity and ingenuity from our partners at McCarthy Building Companies Inc. and Tré Builders, we can move forward on this accelerated path and have an opening unlike Las Vegas has experienced.

"We are excited to see what the future holds and to give visitors and locals something to celebrate."

Bookings are now being taken, but remember, you've got to be above 21 years of age.
