We've all experienced bad hotels in the past - maybe the place hasn't been cleaned properly, there's a weird smell, an alleged drug addict in the bathroom.

Alright, so you probably haven't experienced the latter - but rapper Ponce De'Leioun did when he got to his Airbnb to find it littered with what he believes to be drug paraphernalia.

Ponce De'Leioun - real name De'Leioun Jackson - booked a single room for $62.18 (£49) in a 'luxury apartment' through Airbnb in Los Angeles, US, only to find it full of drug paraphernalia and two alleged drug users hiding at the apartment.

Ponce then took to Twitter to share videos of his discovery and make Airbnb aware of what he'd found. He wrote: "I just checked into my airbnb & found needles, pills, pipes& a fuckin heroin addict hiding in the bathroom. This shit got me pissed tf off!! No excuse @Airbnb @AirbnbHelp".

The apartment apparently had no working lock on the door but despite the residence being unsafe and unsanitary the owner cleaned up the needles and offered Ponce the apartment anyway.

Ponce was still offered the room after the owner cleaned up the mess.

Ponce explained on Twitter "My air bnb host supplied me with an apartment with no working lock on the door!! I found a Crackhead hiding in the bathroom & another locked in the 2nd room!!!! He kicked one out, cleaned up all the needles & offered to let me stay in the crackhouse".

In the video you can see the apartment is littered with needles. The second video shows the owner escorting the people out of the property.

Airbnb were quick to respond on Twitter, telling Ponce they would 'like to follow up immediately' and asked for details.

Ponce claimed that Airbnb gifted him a $200 credit to stay in another room after he contacted the customer service department.

He said: "I flew in from the east coast after travelling for a month. I wanted sleep, I was jet lagged and exhausted. Once I booked the room the host called me and told me there was no key and I'd have to ask the doorman to let me upstairs and in the room.

"I did exactly that to the doorman and he did not allow it. He made me call the host and he confirmed before letting me upstairs. When I walked into the room I was completely confused as hell.

"If you watch the videos online you will see what I seen as soon as I walked into this apartment. Needles, heroin, crack-pipe, trash everywhere. Needles on counter, floor and couch.

"The girl I arrived with said she had to use the restroom before we called the host. She tried to open door and it was locked. I tried to open and heard a guy make a weird noise so I backed up.

"He proceeded to say he didn't know anybody was staying here. He walked out looking like a 60 year old dope head. So I left the room and walked to the other and opened the door to see another man laying down on his phone in the bed.

"I closed the door and called the host. I took pictures and video of everything. It took this man 30 minutes to an hour to arrive at the property. When he did I told him again there are two heroin addicts in the apartment.

"The Airbnb host cleaned the needles, heroin and everything else up than offered to let me stay in the same bed he just kicked one of the heroin addicts out of."

Ponce claimed that one of the men was allowed to stay in the apartment as he explained: "The second guy was hiding in the bathroom and was never asked to leave after I told the host several times he was in there.

"We continued to tell him there was somebody in the second room and he needed to check it. He kept saying no I know that guy he books it.

"We kept saying no its not the actual tenant its a crackhead. He basically ignored it. Offered to let me stay in the dirty bed with no blanket because he just kicked the heroin addict out of it. He took the key, that he 'didn't have', and offered to give me a refund and left. Still didn't lock the door or try to check the other room.

"I walked in my room with all my jewellery on, a $4,000 Fendi bag. I could have been robbed, I could have been set up, anything could have happened and thankfully it hasn't. Thank god I didn't sit or step on a needle. Thank god I wasn't attacked when I entered the house.

"So unfortunately Airbnb offering me one or two night free stay in a new Airbnb doesn't make me [forget] about the horrible experience I had to deal with.

"This host had no idea who was in his apartment nor did he bother check it before renting it out because the guy staying had enough luggage like he'd been there all week not one day. The apartment looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a week."
