Putting your home up on Airbnb can be a stressful experience because you never really know what the guest is going to do.

While the service does look out for you if things go pear shaped, it's still nerve-wracking to ponder whether they'll try and go through all your stuff.

Well, sadly an Aussie host has just realised how bad things can get.

The Melbourne host known only as Waller went away while one man stayed in his Doncaster property. However then the host returned, he found his property in an absolute shambles.

There was blood on the walls, holes punched in, tables were flipped over, the front windscreen of a car was smashed and there was remnants of a massive party.

The host asked the guest how many people were going to be staying and he confirmed it was just going to be him.

So either he was lying and held a massive party or he was telling the truth and held a massive party. Either way, the property needs a deep, deep clean.

The man told Channel 9: "The problem was he brought some men unknown, and there was those girls.

"After I repair all the stuff, Airbnb are going to repay me all the funds."

A neighbour added that while it started out as just mates coming over to hang out, it quickly turned into screams that 'didn't sound normal'.

To add insult to injury, Waller now has another guest coming in less than two weeks and he has to get everything back in order before they arrive.

Now while that is pretty ridiculous, at least it wasn't as bad as what happened to the host that copped $50,000 worth of damages after hosts held a massive drug-induced orgy.

"The couch was completely broken, there was food product everywhere, the occupants had urinated everywhere, the table was smashed," Sergeant Jim Leung of Calgary police told the Guardian. "In 27 years of policing I've never seen somebody take a home and trash it as badly as they did."

There was sauce up and down the walls, broken glass, pools of alcohol on the floor and remnants of a lot of sex.

Host Star King told CBC the toilets were 'flooded and plugged with condoms'.

She said: "We came and wished the home was burnt down to ashes. It would have felt way better."

Thankfully, Airbnb announced it was working to repay the money to the hosts and permanently banned the guest.
