Remember the bizarre story of Sahar Tabar, the Angelina Jolie lookalike who reportedly spent gajillions on plastic surgery to look like the Hollywood star?

In the least surprising twist of the century, that all turned out to be a massive hoax, but in spite of that it seems the Iranian teenager still isn't bothered about laying low.

But rather than channelling her inner Jolie, this time she's opted for something a little more seasonal, having shared a spooky Halloween look - which isn't actually a far cry from Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter, when you think about it.

In the lead-up to Halloween, she posted a video of her hanging out in a dustbin wearing a huge orange wig, creepy makeup and coloured contact lenses.

Sure, it looks a bit scary, but it seems kind of tame compared to the looks she was rocking this time last year.

Tabar made headlines when rumours started doing that rounds that she'd had over 50 operations to look like actress Angelina Jolie.

It was also believed that she'd shed 80 lbs in order to maintain a weight of 88 lbs.

After garnering hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram thanks to her baffling photos, people started saying that her extreme look was actually the result of makeup and photoshopping - with many noting the blurry, smudged backgrounds in each snap.

Eventually, she fessed up, telling Russian news outlet Sputnik that she doctored the nightmare-inducing photos as a way to 'amuse' herself.

She said: "Now I can see that I have something in common with (Angelina Jolie), but I amuse myself, and to look like someone is not my goal."

In one Instagram post, she also wrote: "Hello relatively dear followers, the picture that you're scrutinising, even though I didn't like it, I kept it in ... I must say I only had [indeterminate number of] surgery, not 50 surgeries, and foreign sites and channels were very biased in the way they talked about my photos.

"I thought these people are probably living in the 18th century and they haven't seen or heard of technology or makeup and they are really surprised."

The fact that she managed to spook so many internet users is impressive, though, let's face it. Wonder if anyone's going to be dressing up as her on 31 October...
