At least three people have died in a pile-up on Interstate 80, Wyoming in which 100 vehicles were involved on Sunday (1 March).
Around 30 people were taken to Memorial Hospital of Carbon County, Rawlins to receive treatment for their injuries, hospital spokesperson Stephanie Hinkle told the Caspar-Star Tribune.
The 25-bed hospital had to erect a temporary patient holding area to cope with the influx.

On the same day, a 40 vehicle pile-up took place 80 miles (290 kilometers) west of Cheyenne in which seven people were injured, according to Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office spokesman Jason Mower.
One of them is said to be in critical condition.Officials say snowy, blustery weather played a part in the accident.
