There probably aren't many of you with the balls to chase off an intruder (and for good reason, let's face it), but I'll bet there are even fewer who'd be able to do so while stripped down to your undies.

That's exactly what one brave Aussie bloke in Adelaide did - and he even armed himself with a didgeridoo, just to add to the already-brilliant visual image you all have.

In fact, you don't even need to imagine the surreal scenario, as he's now taken part in a re-enactment of what happened.

Yep, it's about as incredible as it sounds.

Kym Abrook had been awoken at around 4am after hearing noises inside his home in Fulham Gardens.

After bravely going to investigate, Abrook came across an intruder who was on his way out of the house - which was when Abrook grabbed a didgeridoo and chased him out of the property.

Police arrived shortly after and set up cordons in the area, where the suspect - a 32-year-old old man - was later found by a police dog called Nero.

According to Adelaide Now, the man was allegedly in possession of a wallet and cash, which had been stolen during the break-in. He was then arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and theft.

The suspect is due to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 6 August.

Today, Abrook proved he was one hell of a good sport by agreeing to re-enact the drama for local TV cameras - this time topless, but wearing bottoms - by pegging it down the road with his didgeridoo.

Commenting on footage of Abrook in action, one person tweeted: "This bloke is a bloody legend. We need more of him in Australia."

Someone else said: "What a legend."

Another said: "Onya Kym."

What an absolute badsass. Abrook for Prime Minister - who's with me?
