Aussie Tradie Walks Out Of Work After Winning $50 Million Lottery Prize

“I am definitely not going to work. I want to buy a house by the beach and spend all my days fishing and golfing."

Everyone has, at one point or another, considered what they'd do if they won the lottery.

Some would buy everything they've ever wanted, others might stash it away and enjoy the finer things every now and then.

But the big question is whether you'd continue to work. While some prizes aren't as big as others, it's always interesting to see if people would pack everything up and just have some R&R for the rest of their days.

Well, that's exactly what one tradesman from Sydney has done after taking away a whopping $50 million lottery prize.

The man from Leumeah has told NSW Lotteries: "I was just at work and heard that the division one prize had not been claimed. So I got my ticket and googled the numbers and saw that I had all of the winning numbers.

"I still wasn't sure I'd won, so I called my daughter and asked her to check the numbers and she said to me 'oh my god dad, I think you've won!'"

"As soon as she said that I just walked out from work. I didn't say anything. I was just thinking 'oh my god'."

As if you wouldn't when you've just found out you'll be set for life. When he was asked about what he plans to spend the fifty mill, he didn't muck around.

"This is just so much money, I want to help all of my family, my wife's family and my friends," the man said.

"I am definitely not going to work. I want to buy a house by the beach and spend all my days fishing and golfing.

"But money is not everything to me. My friends and family mean more to me than money, so I want to use it wisely and I want to share it with them. I just can't believe this. I need to go home, have a sit-down and just calm down.

"Gosh I have a good life!"

Too bloody right. When you've won enough money to see you through until the rest of your days there would be no doubt that you'd be smiling from ear to ear.

Naturally he wants to remain anonymous, probably to avoid any of his unscrupulous mates from contacting him asking for a couple of bucks here and there. You can just imagine how that conversation will go with the bloke's boss when he's ready to leave.
