Nature is a beautiful creature. She can show off some gorgeous scenery and get that fresh air into your lungs.

She also can help you become a millionaire apparently.

Young Kalel Langford was visiting the Crater of Diamonds State Park in southwest Arkansas with his parents when he stumbled upon something amazing.

There, nestled with a bunch of similar looking rocks, was a shiny dark brown diamond.

The 14-year-old had only been at the park with his parents for 30 minutes when he made the discovery.

The family took the gem to the park officials and had it identified. He says he was shocked when he found out it was the seventh largest found in the park's history.

While it doesn't look that large, the diamond, which is coffee in colour, was found to be 7.44 carats. An 8.52-carat diamond found in the park in 2015 was sold for $1 million.

His dad Craig says it was an unreal find: "Its colour was so dark that we weren't sure if it was a diamond, but we knew we needed to have it looked at."

Park Interpreter Waymon Cox says Kalel couldn't have had better conditions for finding the diamond: "About an inch of rain fell on the ploughed search area during the week. A heavy rain can uncover larger diamonds near the surface."

Waymon continued: "This diamond is a truly extraordinary find. It was Kalel's dream to visit the Crater of Diamonds State Park, and now he will always be part of this park's remarkable history. We are all very happy for him."

Kalel has decided to name his gem Superman's Diamond.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to visit the park if you wanted to pick up your own pricey diamond. According to them, 97 diamonds have been found this year alone!

Apparently in its 111-year history, more than 75,000 diamonds have been discovered at the Crater of Diamonds park.

The largest diamond ever found in America was unearthed at the park in 1924, which was an impressive 40.23 carats. It was aptly named Uncle Sam.
