Just when society was beginning to accept that Crocs are either reptiles or shoes acceptable only for nurses and gardeners, this has happened.

Balenciaga has released a pair of Croc stilettos. Is this called a 'heel turn', wrestling aficionados? Not sure.
We're not lying though. They've made foam stilettos into a thing. Whoever said that fashion and comfort don't go together?
We don't know about this, but put it this way - now you can tend to your geraniums and feel fabulous all at the same time.

On an Instagram post this week, the French fashion house shared its latest creation - hot pink, embellished Croc killer heels - and it's caused quite a frenzy, with people not knowing what to make of the new and unusual footwear.
You could call them the Marmite of shoes, because they seem to have the fashion world completely divided.
People are either absolutely dumbfounded by the idea or can't wait to get their hands on a pair.
On Twitter, users have been pretty forthright in their response:

But, like most highly debated fashion perplexities, the shoes have gathered quite a fan base:
"All my prayers have been answered. Crocs have been reborn," commented one Instagram user.

Balenciaga's latest Croc instalment goes way beyond the chunky heeled version of the shoe that was released last week.
While not reminiscent of your typical Croc shoe - you know, giant cartoon-like clogs with holes all over them - the newly released stiletto is much more subtle.
The holes are still there, only this time small and of a different shape. And they're embellished with flowers and other kitsch things (totally changeable, of course, because fashion).
Just think of a giant Barbie doll shoe - I know, just what you've always wanted - and you're almost there.
And while the high heeled 'Cyprus V Heel' version of the shoe, which you can grab on Amazon for about £40, the new stiletto version is just slightly outside of that price range.

Going off the price range of the 2017 Balengiaga platform Croc collaboration, which cost a whopping £645, you can expect to be looking at anything from £700 onwards.
Honestly? They are made out of foam! Bloody Norah...
Fancy yourself a pair? Then take a long, hard look at yourself and decide what type of person you want to be in this world.
